Primary Motivation

Apparently, Dennis is convinced that my primary purpose in creating this blog is self-aggrandizement. Nothing could be further from the truth. My linking to the Montana girl joke on this blog was simply a matter of expedience. This site offered me a space to display that joke. I could just have easily uploaded it to any other web server. It appears that I am on thin ice over at 'Crosswordcorner'. While I am willing to accept responsibility for my part in that, I do not feel that I have done anything terribly egregious. It seems that there is more afoot here than my, ultimately, benign transgressions.

I'm busy being lazy this am, so I'll make this quick. You aren't just bookmarked, you have an icon on the iPhone homescreen. When I have more time, I'll tell you a Kentuckian & Texan on an airplane joke and introduce you to the website of my friends in NEKY who are the only gay farmer guy couple I've ever met.
BTW, now that the fascists have gone hunting and bike riding (the evil DC and the inept GWB) isn't it a free (sort of) country again? Blog on!

Windhover, I am very flattered. As for the departure of the wicked bastards you mentioned, I am not ready to let my guard down. It strikes me that sinister politicians are much like the bogey-men terrorists from whom they insist we rush into their arms for protection. Every time you get rid of one of them, there are ten more waiting in line to fill their shoes.
Give Dolly a kiss for me!

Fulfilling my earlier promises.

A guy from Kentucky and a guy from Texas were ok a plane, and the guy from Texas was doing what they do, bragging. " My ranch is so big I can get in my pick-up and drive till noon and I'm still not halfway across it.". Guy from Kentucky says, "I know exactly what you mean. I used to have a truck like that."

Take a look at 'thejerrysfarm.com'. These are friends of ours, great guys and good farmers. I'm not a part of the family, as you described it, but hey, isn't it all good?
See you at the 'corner' tomorrow?

Windhover, You may not be gay, but as far as I am concerned, you are definitely 'family'. The world needs more cool people like you. I checked out your friends website and they seem like people I would like to know. I am willing to bet that they know about the 'Radical Faeries'. It is encouraging to see that they are also attempting to develop a symbiotic relationship with the bees. One day, I hope to sell this place and and move west (the western part of southern Florida, that is). I would like to have a place on a river, like this one, but one that is that is more isolated where I can establish an apiary. I would prefer a place that has no planes, trains or automobiles intruding. When I first moved away from Montana, I was intrigued by the big city ... to a degree. Yet, I always recall that, whilst living in Seattle, I was acutely aware (particularly when approaching the city from a ferry and seeing Mt. Rainier in the backdrop behind the Kingdome) that none of man's creations could ever arouse such wonder in me as those of God.
Take care and please forgive my rambling.
