Just a Girl from Montana

A girl from Montana and a girl from the east coast were
seated side by side on an airplane.
The girl from Montana being friendly and all, said, 'So, where ya from?'

The east coast girl said, 'From a place where they know better
than to use a preposition at the end of a sentence.'
The girl from Montana sat quietly for a moment and then replied:

'So, where ya from, bitch?'

PromiseMeThis,

You are a clever one. It is difficult to stop at five comments on C.C.'s blog, when we are on a roll. By "we", of course, I mean "you". :o)

I probably already take more time to post on a day-to-day basis than I should, but I will check in here when I can.

I always enjoy the people and discussions that are a little off kilter. I hope your blog is successful. It is a bit difficult to discuss left-leaning politics, gender and sexual identification and religious opinions on C.C.'s blog. Possibly not so, here.

Yes, I have seen Ma Vie En Rose, a very touching and thought provoking movie.

You are bookmarked!

Thank you, ClearAyes. I truly do appreciate your positive vibes. Being gay and out, I am oh-so-used to people copping an attitude toward me for no good reason. Gay people are my family, whether they know it or not! The drag queens, the burly, leather-daddy's, you name it ... I own it all!
I am sure the 2-hour drive is well worth it. I have been to California a number of times and it appears that you are nestled on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevadas. Pretty country. Right between Big Sur and Yosemite. WOW!!! Big Sur always reminds me of those Tolkien-inspired, black-light posters I grew up with. (Oops! There I go ending a sentence with a preposition again ... how Montanan of me.)

got you ! Not that i have that much to discuss, but you never know, writing does not come easy for me, because i have to dig deep inside and sometimes that is like baring your soul, if you know what i mean.

Anyway i' m in your corner.
You on the other hand write beautifully, i was pleasantly surprised at the way you responded c.c.
take care !

I'm in your corner, too, Maria. Then again, I'm an 'Italiac', so what do I know?

I once dated a girl from Butte. She was GREAT. She is now living "happily ever after" in Reno - without me. Maybe that's why she's happy.

As Clearayes (my most favoritest person in the world - and I really "dig" GAH as he has an Ohio background and loves all of the things I do - including Clearayes) has indicated, I have very strong opinions about youse gay folks. None of us will live long enough to see this happen, but the day will come when people will look upon gays the way we now look at people who are "left handed". George H.W. and Bill Clinton are both left handed as is my daughter. It's just "genes". Some of "my closest friends" are straight. BFD!! You be you and I'll be me and everything will work out fine. There's a hugh difference between "religion" and "God". The Bible is a book of learning, not a book of laws. People try to justify their bigotry quoting the Bible, but ignore everything else written there because it doesn't fit their "code".

I say all of this as a "Unitarian-Universalist, Buddhist, agnostic wanderer". Call me "Siddhartha". Count me as one of your "straight" buddies.

I must be off

Personally, I hope they never discover a 'gay gene'. It would make it too easy to round us all up!

"Count me as one of your "straight" buddies."
I already do, Siddhartha :)

Straight is as straight does". We're all straight. This is the last post I will make about sexual preference. I will be back, but I will not be bogged down with trivia. I will use uncolorful language, not to be offensive, but to make a point. It will happen rarely.

MY FRIENDS!!

I must be off

Well, well...Hiya...I bookmarked you so figured that I would check in. This could be fun...A place to maybe discuss food and be mildly un-PC. I am SO on your side as we have quite a number of very good friends of the same religion(including my most favorite local classical music radio personality).
You have to know that I am a left-wing tree-hugger in the truest sense and believe in equal rights for everyone. I am appalled at what has been going on in CA recently, it makes me very angry, and hope things get straightened out soon. People are just people.

I occasionally get the feeling when I post that I am just throwing things out in the ether and seldom get any response. I am always appreciative when someone appears to read what I wrote. C.C.'s Blog is always interesting and I am amazed at the things she understands. I know that if I was transplanted into an entirely different culture that it would definitely take a bit to get up to speed.

I found this blog and these wonderful people when I was going through a difficult patch with my mom and it made me feel like part of a community...you have been especially friendly and knowledgeable and I really enjoy your comments. I have a lot of foodie friends and it will be fun, if it's ok with you, to check in and have food discussions...

If you ever want to contact me outside the blog, my regular email is wolf_mom@hotmail.com...missed you on the blog today.

Elissa and I are going to try and meet for coffee soon and JD will join us soon when she gets back from Hawaii. So, this has been interesting to say the least.

BTW...what did you think of the website...your input, plus or minus would be valuable.
