The Roots of Coincidence
With a title like 'The Roots of Coincidence' one might figure that I was posting something philosophical. Nope. Just an amazing song that will definitely raise your 'hip quotient'!
WH, Thanks for posting again. I will try to catch up tomorrow.
Now this is VERY interesting...will have to think on it and get back to you...stuff to do today until about 3 pm...also still looking for that Wendell Berry Article...it's either SAVEUR magazine or Gourmet...will track it down today...
PMT...Thank you for the Roots...where do you keep finding these great musicians? What is your take on the "old" Dave Matthew's Band before they fired their manager and went mainstream?
Back when they encouraged their fans to record the concerts...
Been a tad busy busy the last few days, as it seems have we all...hopefully next week will allow for a bit more free time, at least in the evenings.
First let me beg everyone's forgiveness for being so absent. I know it is a lame excuse, but it's true that "There are just never enough hours in the day!"
That being said, I am glad you enjoyed the musical performance. I have had the pleasure of seeing those guys perform that piece live and I can tell you ... it blows the crowd away!
As for the Dave Matthews Band, I must confess to being pretty well unfamiliar with them. However, from what I have been able to determine, the $#@! went south with them starting here.
Promise: Certainly no apology needed or expected. You have given us a sense of direction without in any way being heavy handed; your rules are few, your reign is benign. I believe I speak for us all when I say I'm appreciative for the venue. I must say it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling when WM called you a snarky bastard. You must be so proud. Windhover
Going to see one of my favorite plays today, directed by one of my sons-in-lw...a fine actor in his own right, especially Shakespeare..."The Importance of Being Ernest"...late birthday present from a good friend...we are seeing the play and going out for a snack or something. so I will do a bit more writing later...
PMT ..re:DMB... I knew in recent years they had sort of gone down the toilet...but that's really funny!LOL When they first started out they would play all these really long jazzy sorts of pieces, then they dumped their manager for some guy that told them they had to keep things at 3-4 mins for records and things went downhill from there. My daughter used to be a fan, which is how I knew of them, but she quit listening years ago...at the manager change.
Ok...I'm outta here for about 4 hours...catch ya later!
