A Chunk Out of My Reading Time

Well, with the exception of a couple of hours yesterday morning, it has been been overcast since Wednesday morning, raining much of the time. This really puts a cramp in my style. I am not used to being cooped up inside for so much of the day. Ah well, I really shouldn't complain since I know there are people in the northeast who had a nice little snow storm yesterday. What a bummer for the first day of Spring. The weather has taken a chunk out of my reading time, though. I am way behind on my assignment for my book club. We meet on Tuesday at noon and I am only one-quarter of the way through Chris Bohjalian's, 'Skeletons at the Feast.' I am going to have to make some serious headway over the next three days.

Oh, look, the sun is peeking out. Let me go check to see how wet my reading chair is. Ciao!

Just enough time to say "Hi". The family is here and we will be out of the door and on our way to lunch in just a little while.

Keep reading PMT, and give us a book report when you are done.

ClearAyes, It's no problem that you could not provide a hotel recommendation for Stockholm. Although you had said that you are Russian/Swedish, that did not necessarily mean that you had been to either of those places. I know now that you have been to Sweden. What about Russia? Truth be told, I went ahead and booked us into a hotel in Stockholm before hearing from you. I was concerned about availability in June. Our intinerary for the cruise is:
Stockholm--> Helsinki--> St.Petersburg(3-days)--> Tallin--> Gdansk--> Copenhagen--> Berlin--> Amsterdam--> Bruges--> London. It should be pretty nice. We plan to top the whole thing off with a final week's stay in London. I am very excited about it. :)

Did I mention that I Can See Clearly Now is Rich's favorite song?

WolfMom,
Damn, guess I'll just have to try a little harder.
Seriously, thanks for the pass, and I'll try not to let PMT lead me astray so easily in the future. I could ruin my bad reputation if I'm not careful.
BTW, you were very sly around the corner today.

Late night everyone...for me, about 10:30pm...Been a long and busy day. Would have posted earlier but I got a call from my long lost cousin whom I thought I lost contact with forever. Turned out that one of my brothers had been in contact with her all along and never bothered to share that particular information( our family all live within about a 1/2 hr-45 min from each other, so no excuse)...At Christmas I found a hard copy of an email at mom's(who also hadn't told me that someone knew where she was)and so, we(me and Susan) just reconnected a couple of months ago. We were such good friends growing up even though she lived in Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park(her dad, a ranger, was my father's brother, and they both grew up in Montana...that's for you PMT). I haven't seen or heard from her in over 30 years, sent her an email, and now she is making plans to move down to the Sacramento area to be close to "her People" as she now calls us. Imagine...an only child, parents gone, and thinking that no one wanted contact with her(I AM SO beating up my brother for this!!!). We have been having such a great time sharing stories...turns out she is crazy like I am...and she will be with us for Easter...Anyway...she called tonight and we talked until her cellphone bit the dust.

That's my warm, fuzzy, family story, except for the part about beating up my brother, which will be true...my cousin is going to help me...and anyway...I'm the oldest.

Not in the mood for a rant tonight, although I almost got one going on the education thing at the CORNER tonight...thought better of it and deleted before posting...

Windhover...Was I being snarky today? I thought I was just being my normally charming self...80)Also...I checked my bookmarks for Capriole's website and I know now approximately where you live...Judy makes such awesome cheese!I wish I could see photos of your Percherons...just love dray horses...

G'nite and I will visit tomorrow.

You asked about Percherons; I've E-mailed your gmail a link to a local foodie website that did an article on us last year. It includes a picture gallery. Hope you like.
