Did any of you notice this comment posted around the corner the other night?

WH,
Hot and bothered?
Nah!
I am just calling ém out.
It's only fair.

I'll save 'hot and bothered' for what's real :)

You're right, though. I got a bit hot under the collar over that fuckin' Brad Paisley video and then like a fuckin' asshole, I apologized for having over-reacted. Meanwhile, the guy who posted the video of that douche-bag Paisley drumming up anti-gay fervor doesn't even bother to acknowledge that that was what the fuckhead was doing. Well, I have that dickhead's number now, don't I?

See there Jeannie, I can 'grog and blog' with the best of them.

Perhaps you were busy with your food show but, prior to your return, I was the one who got spanked the hardest by C.C. for deliberately over-posting. I was just having fun. That's why I could sympathize with you when you were doing the exact same thing. As I said, I mean you know harm.

Happy Sunday Morning All, It's a beautiful day in Northern California.

PMT, yes I did see the post. I even posted a little inside joke about it to you on Saturday afternoon around the corner. I said something about maybe the Wendell Berry poem might be too "high falutin'" for the blog. It wasn't, of course, and several people commented that they liked it. So much for "high falutin' opinions".

The anon post is totally ridiculous and even laughable. It is obviously in reference to the blow up on Friday night.

If anon had thought about it, he/she would have realized that we are doing exactly what was suggested. We ARE on the other blog (this one) and we are sharing our opinions (high falutin' and otherwise) in private (kind of).

Nobody is being forced to look at the discussions and opinions here. I don't think any of us regular posters think we will all agree on every topic, or we might not even be particularly interested in a specific topic.

You have made it abundantly clear that anybody can post about anything they are interested in. Maybe there will be a response, or maybe not. You can't bat 1000 every time.

I copied this from the "progressions #2" thread, where this blow up started. I'm no longer sure where to post about this. But, rest assured, I have no intention of talking about it anymore. Enough is enough.

To Jeannie

First of all, when you said Sunday@1:02 AM "I can also cypher really really good. Geez, I gradgiated past the sixth grade an all", you seemed to be saying that you thought all the posters here were snobs. That is something that "makes me go Hmmm".

You also said that "I have nothing in common with these folks.". It isn't necessary that you share a lot in common with the other posters. The idea here is to talk about things that interest you. You are interested in sailing, cooking, music and I'm sure, many other topics. You've had some bad experiences in your life. You can share them here if you want to. The only thing you can't expect is to get positive feedback on every subject...or you may not get feedback at all. This is not a "quick back and forth banter" blog, but there is no limit on the length of a post and you can post however often you want.

You mentioned previously that you are the person whom "everyone" must like. If your gauge is for people to respond positively to everything you say/post, you will be disappointed here. If your gauge is for people to read what you have to say and respond honestly, then you'll be fine here.

I also have something to say about your post from Sunday @1:11 AM. "By the way, wolfmom, you owe me an apology. Don't give me the "oh what a great idea" shit thing about the 69 this day in history on C.C.'s blog. You dissed me right here.".

If you read Wolfmom's post at this heading from April 4 @1:12 AM, you will see "Accept my apologies if I offended you for I would never wish ill or be intentionally mean to anyone" That IS a real and straightforward apology.

You continue with, "And no, I didn't know about this sight until I was "tuned" into it. I am still stung and disappointed by it all. I just do the crossword for fun. Now I have to end up defending myself. HHHMMMFFF. I have enough stress in my life to have to worry about this shit. Yep, before you ask, I worry about all kinds of shit. Just didn't want to add what was SUPPOSED to be fun to the list."

I think PromiseMeThis did some worrying of his own and lost some sleep because of it. If you read his post on this thread, April 4 @ 2:23 AM, you'll see that he was trying his best to be conciliatory to keep you from feeling that you had to worry or defend yourself. I don't know what else he could have said.

Finally, I think that whoever "tuned" you into this site was trying to make a problem where none should have existed. Please, think about it.

PMT...It's the elephant in the room. Now that you have slapped their face with your glove, go polish up your pistols and ignore it. I decided last night that I would take my own advice...discussion here is great...that's it.

This weekend has turned into a fairly non-productive one art wise but people wise it's stellar!

Yesterday I picked up my youngest daughter and we went to visit my most favorite baker and the absolute sweetest person in the whole world. I was taking her a painting I did of her Swirly Cake cupcakes that are a gourmet take off on the goofy hostess cupcakes...only these have real whipped cream inside and whipped chocolate ganache under the chocolate coating(it makes me swoon to just think of them!!!).Anyway..she had been selling cards in her shop with photos of some of my dessert paintings and I hadn't seen her for a bit, and I just knew that the painting needed to go to her...It was just such a happy thing, she was so excited! Would that I could do something that easy to make someone happy each day. She sent me an email that started out..."Silly Kathleen..." WOW, I just felt so great that I had made her so happy...did I mention what a sweet person she is?

The other fun thing is that I am going over to see an old(like me) high school friend that I haven't seen for...oh...about 35 years. There were 4 us that hung out together(the definitely not popular crowd) through high school and 3 of us had been together since the 3rd grade...she is one of them...any way, she and her husband are out here from Maryland and she sent me a letter asking if we could all get back together for a few hours. I had a fabulous funny conversation with her the other night. It was just like picking up where we had left off all those years ago, except now we have been married for eons and have kids and grandkids...wow...where did all that time go...?

Over the years I think that I have finally learned how to nurture friendships...an upward slog, as I used to just cut and run, and not look back every time I changed jobs...so, my friends...I want to keep cultivating the garden...I am going to go enjoy that beautiful Spring day that CA mentioned...Good to see you back WH...make sure you give those stubby thumbs a rest occasionally...

CA...did you get the art store link I sent you?

PMT...I still have a few computer questions if you have the time in the next few days...first order of business, back everything UP!!! :oP

WM,
The reason you could not get through to me via my gmail was that Comcast's mail servers were down. My gmail works. You can also feel free to start a computer topic asking whatever questions you may have. If I can answer them, I will.

PMT...when I get back this afternoon, I will have a couple of questions by way of troubleshooting to see if I have a memory problem or something worse...I DOES run, but slowly.

The SANIYE gmail was the one that was sending a delivery status notification.

I will go back and reread the original post before asking any stupid questions. Thanks a bunch...time to go be a high school student again...I was such a dweeb! :o)

WM, Your friend's Swirly cupcakes sound wonderful. I love chocolate...too bad my hips don't feel the same way.

BTW WM, I think the gmail address you want is "My", not "Your". Isn't that right, PMT?

Nope :)

I guess I'm the one who wrote it down wrong. Ha....no wonder you don't write.
